Medical Practice Software, Inc. was invited by the CAQH® Committee on Operating Rules for Information Exchange (CORE®) to be the FIRST Medical Practice software organization to endorse the new Phase IV level of the CORE requirements for healthcare data exchange.
The mission of CAQH CORE is to drive the creation and adoption of operating rules in healthcare that will accelerate interoperability, and align administrative and clinical activities among providers, payers and consumers. The requirements to align the data exchange requirements were phased in in four segments.
Medical Practice Software, Inc. dba DuxWare achieved CORE Endorser status for all four Phases because it supports CAQH CORE’s mission, collaborative industry approach and administrative simplification objectives.
“We at Medical Practice Software, Inc. are excited to receive the Phase IV CAQH CORE Endorser Seal, showing our commitment to HIPAA-approved data transactions rules and requirements”, said Bruce Anzalone, COO, of DuxWare. “DuxWare has closely followed the evolving requirements of HIPAA for the secure exchange of healthcare information for data security, data protection and staff training”, said Anzalone.
By becoming a CORE Endorser, Medical Practice Software, Inc. is demonstrating its support for an initiative that is reducing unnecessary healthcare administrative burden, and helping U.S. healthcare become more efficient and responsive to patient concerns,” said Robin J. Thomashauer, CAQH Executive Director.
Because not all organizations conduct HIPAA-related claims transactions, the CORE Endorser Seal represents the organizations support of the greater CORE mission to streamline the exchange of administrative data through operating rules and their underlying standards.
Medical Practice Software, Inc. was established in 1991 by Mike Perkins, CEO and President. Throughout our 26 years of operation, DuxWare has consistently served thousands of providers with high-quality practice management software solutions and fully integrated EHR collaborations.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services selected CAQH CORE to develop national operating rules for HIPAA transactions to ensure that large amounts of data can be shared electronically in an efficient way regardless of the technology used. CAQH CORE is a collaboration of more than 130 public and private entities across the healthcare industry that work together to develop these rules. CORE-Certified entities cover more than 75 percent of the commercially insured population, including lives covered under Medicare and Medicaid plans.
The CORE Certification program—widely viewed as the industry “gold standard”—enables organizations to demonstrate that they and their business partners have adopted and are adhering to the operating rules and their underlying standards, plus going above and beyond what is required.
